South Point, Hawaiʻi, the southernmost point in all the fifty states; quadrangle, south Hawaiʻi. A rock in the sea here called Pōhaku-waʻa-Kauhi (Kauhi canoe stone) is believed to have been a canoe from Kahiki. See Wai-luku. (For a saying, see Appendix 8.1.) Lit., the point.
